Robert Pemberton (Nate Manning)
To overcome shyness, Robert began acting at the age
5. Some 33 years later,with 400 appearances in commercials
and industrials videos, combined with his television/film
work and extensive theater work, he remains one of the quietist
guys on the set.
"He's thinking
" states By The Sea co- producer
Dean, "just like Tiger Woods does before he belts one
off the tee."
Until recently, Robert was commuting between New York and
Boston for his assignments, but now he's New England based.
He's one of about 30 actors in Boston who is constantly working.
On stage, Robert has recently appeared as Bill in "Lobby
Hero" at the Lyric Stage Company, as Benedick in the
Publick Theatre's "Much Ado About Nothing," and
as Jonathan in the SpeakEasy Stage's production of "Snakebit".
Over the year's, he's also been seen at the Huntington Theatre,
the North Shore Music Theatre, The Gloucester Stage Company
and the Nora Theatre Company.
In television, Robert has had roles on "Another World,"
"Guiding Light" and "Unsolved Mysteries."
Before "By The Sea," he has been seen in such
films as: "Boondock Saints," "The Exchange,"
"Gentlemen from Boston," "Temps," "The
Still Point," and "The New England Connection."
Recently, he was seen at the Boston Film Festival in "Treading
Water."
"I tell people I have the greatest job. Where else
can you hang out with cool people, travel the world, have
fun and get paid for it?" asks Robert.
Well said by our "Quiet Guy."
