DEAN H. HUH

In his debut as a filmmaker Dean Huh has enjoyed an amazing run with the Latin-themed feature By The Sea.  This romantic dramedy, which shot along the shores of Rhode Island
and that Huh co-wrote, has earned 3 Imagen Awards (Latin Oscars) nominations, 15 Finalist Awards, 3 Best Picture Awards, a 2005 DVD en Espanol Award, the Best American Feature Award at the 2007 Everglades International Film Festival in South Africa, the 2009 International Endurance Award at the British Film Festival of Los Angeles and the Silver Lei Award at the 2010 Honolulu International Film Festival.
 
    Huh’s writing credits includes: the 2010 Swansea Bay Film Festival Finalist, the 2009Presidents Award Recipient of the Guild of Italian American Actors (GIAA) & Kids First! Finalist Looking For Leonardo, Prenuptial for Stock Grange Productions, Norm Gets Itchy for Warner Brothers Writers Workshop.  He has also written for Transpacific Magazine.
                                                
Over the years, Huh has worked with Hollywood TV heavyweights like Barney Rosenzweig, Vin Di Bona and Dick Clark.  He’s also produced a television special for Showtime called: The Hasty Pudding Awards featuring: Tom Hanks and Michelle Pfeiffer.                                 

    Since 1988, Huh has been an active member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and has appeared in over 100 productions in television and film.  He’s worked on network series like: Law & Order and the ABC series Body of Proof.   Dean’s film appearances include Clint Eastwood’s drama Mystic River, 27 Dresses and the upcoming comedy Ted .

     While performing Graduate work at Harvard Extension, Dean decided to build a pipeline to sell American television shows in Korea. He started a company called: Television Licensing International (TLI) and has worked at MIP-COM, in Cannes, representing clients like: E! ENTERTAINMENT, NY 1 NEWS & BUENA VISTA TELEVISION.                                                                                                      
  
     Recently, Huh has been lecturing to film students at New England high schools and universities about: The Business of Show Business.   He’s also participated as a film panel member on the Give Me Five Rhode Island Youth Film Festival.  But his pastime continues to be people-watching   in the piazza of a tiny village in Italy.
